Margherita’s Pizza is a story of humble beginnings. Arriving in the United States with little more than ambition, the owner of Margherita’s, Alberto Argueta, began his career in the kitchen as a dishwasher. With a relentless drive and an eye for learning, he quickly worked his way through various roles, mastering the ins and outs of the culinary world. Throughout his years in the industry, Alberto developed a deep love for the art of cooking, particularly Italian cuisine. With this passion, he worked at various restaurants and traveled to Italy to learn the meaning of true Italian cuisine. He saw an opportunity to merge his growing expertise with his dream of owning his own business, and with time, dedication, and a lot of perseverance, he opened his first Margherita’s location in 2003.

This quote perfectly embodies the essence of Margherita’s Pizza, a business founded on the strength of family. From the very beginning, Alberto was supported by his dedicated wife, Jama Argueta, and their three daughters, all of whom played a vital role in bringing Margherita’s to life. Today, with three locations proudly serving Baltimore and Harford County, the restaurant’s success is a testament to their family’s hard work and commitment.

But even more than that, Margherita’s is built on the foundation of the largest family of all—the community. Our customers aren’t just guests—they’re family. It’s because of their loyalty and support that we’ve come as far as we have, and we are forever grateful for the role they play in our story.
